Researchers at the Swiss Federal Institute for Forest, Snow and Landscape Research (WSL) have reconstructed the distribution history of black pepper over the past 21,000 years in an international study. Using a new approach, they discovered, among other things, that the plant migrated too slowly after the last ice age to take advantage of its potential distribution area.
